Robocalling & Communication ID Spoofing
Great progress has been made in addressing the issue of robocalling, caller-ID spoofing, and enabling traceback with SHAKEN/STIR (and analytics), but there are additional areas that would benefit from attention, including monitoring or recommending deployment approaches and mitigation techniques. This creates an opportunity to apply a more holistic approach to understanding the industry’s needs surrounding mitigation of unwanted robocalling and spamming. ATIS’ RCID initiative is developing a coordinated landscape view of all robocalling and spamming efforts across the industry and considering the needs for further standards development. This work will include consumer education and coordination opportunities with other organizations.
