Shaun McFall
Chief Marketing Officer, Harris Stratex Networks
As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Harris Stratex Networks, Mr. McFall provides overall direction for programs to position the company in its focus markets. Mr. McFall has been with the company since the formation of its UK subsidiary in 1989. His initial assignment was in new business development, first in the UK and later the European market. In 1994 he relocated to the company’s headquarters in San Jose, California, assuming responsibility for worldwide product marketing. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, holding prior positions with two UK based companies: Ferranti International Signal plc. and GEC Telecommunications Ltd.

Michelle Tharp
Southeast Regional Director, Real Estate and Construction, AT&T
Michelle began her professional career in telecommunications in Pacific Bell Mobile Services in 1996 in the Network Organization in the Northern California Market. Michelle has served in a variety of Network positions including Real Estate & Construction/Implementation, Quality Management, and Operations. Most recently she supported the Cost of Service Program identifying opportunities to lower costs for the AT&T Mobility organization. Starting in late 2006, Michelle and her team began working on initiatives aimed at reducing energy consumption and costs.
Bob Friday
Director Engineering, Wireless Technology Group, Cisco
Bob Friday has spent his career developing unlicensed wireless networking technology and products. Fourteen of those years were spent at Metricom developing and deploying three generations of unlicensed outdoor wireless mesh networks. At Metricom Bob was directly responsible for the development of three generations of outdoor unlicensed radio hardware and as Chief RF Scientist was directly responsible for the performance and capacity of Metricom’s nationwide Ricochet network. As a founder of Airespace, Bob brought his experience from the outdoor wireless service provider market to the indoor wireless enterprise market introducing a centralized controller architecture to enterprise 802.11 wireless networks. At Airspace Bob was responsible for the radio hardware development, radio resource management algorithms, location technology and mesh wireless routing technology. Following Cisco’s acquisition of Airespace, Bob continues his focus on developing mesh, location and new wireless technologies.
Jose Alvarez
Director, Business Solutions, Ericsson
Mr. Alvarez has 18 years of experience in the telecom industry. He has been with Ericsson since 1991 and is currently leading the team of Energy Efficient and Business Solutions for North America. His main responsibilities are to drive energy efficient solutions by defining competitive, profitable products and services portfolio offerings for Ericsson market units in the United States and Canada.
Prior to his current role at Ericsson, Alvarez served as business manager within the Network Deployment organization and product manager in the Networks organization. His work experience includes five years of technical instruction, five years of business management and four years of Services in the areas of Networks and Services Solutions Sales. Before joining Ericsson, Alvarez worked as a systems engineer for the central branch of a leading Banking Institution in Mexico City.
