Who is granted access to this site?
Members of the PRQC, NIPP, TMOC, WTSC, PTSC, NRSC and/or OPTXS are granted access to this site. Others may be permitted on a case-by-case basis. Interested non-members may apply for membership.

My UserID and Password do not work…
All users who have not yet already registered as a new user on this system must do so. You must use your company e-mail address when registering in order to expedite your access to the system (users with yahoo.com, hotmail.com, and other similar non-member domains/accounts will not be recognized by the system, and replies to such accounts may be delayed). Upon successful completion on the registration page, existing members will automatically be sent a confirmation e-mail. Non-members will be advised that an administrator will review the request and approval is pending. Address any questions/concerns to contributions@atis.org.

Did I register already??
If you are not sure if you have registered or not on the CRD system, you may use the “Forgot Password” option and input your e-mail address. If you have already registered on this system, your password will be sent to you. If not, you will be advised that your e-mail address has not yet been registered on the system.

ATIS web site registration
The ATIS web site and CRD utilize the same database to register and authenticate users. You must register your e-mail address and password to gain access to certain password-protected WEB PAGES and to the CRD. Information is available at http://www.atis.org/reginfo.asp.

I am having problems getting the page to open…
There are a few settings which may cause pages to not return.

This CRD web site utilizes session (transient) cookies which must be set in order to efficiently run the applications. This type of cookie is erased when the browser is closed and information is not collected from the user’s computer. If the browser/system is set to not accept/allow cookies, or if the user denies the cookie when prompted, the user will not be able to utilize the web pages. To add this site to your trusted sites (in IE 6.0.x) select “Tools” > “Internet Options” > “Security” and click on the “Trusted Sites” icon. Then click on the “Sites” button, add “contributions.atis.org” to your list (unchecking the “Requires server verification” option) and click “OK.” Firewall settings may also cause problems with accessing web pages and users may need to review their firewall settings to ensure they are set to allow access to this site (and may require additional assistance from your company's IT support).

Users may need to allow “popups” on this site in order to utilize certain pages. Some firewalls, browsers (like Netscape) and other web tools (such as the Google toolbar) have an option to block popups. Users should “allow popups” on the contributions.atis.org web site in order to be able to utilize all features.

I have to log in again when I click on a link…
The system is currently set to timeout after 40 minutes of inactivity (not utilizing any of the menu functions). After 40 minutes, the user session is disconnected from the server, and will be sent back to the login screen to supply credentials.

File Indexes/Search

I was previously using a grid (File Index) to find files. How do I find them now?
Once logged into the system, all registrations, contributions, and files may be found by using the “Search” function. Users should use the Search page pulldown menus and text box options to narrow searches. The most common searches utilize the “Committee/Subcommittee” and “Year” pulldown menus.

How were files named/registered prior to 2005?
The file naming convention was originated in the days of DOS and therefore files were designated and named with only 8-characters (plus the suffix). The files were named as follows:

1st character represents the year (9 = 1999, 0 = 2000, 1 = 2001, etc.)
2-4th characters represent the Committee (E10=T1E1 (NIPP); E14=T1E1.4 (NIPP-NAI); S10=T1S1 (PTSC); etc.)
5-7th characters represent the contribution number (001, 002, …999)
8th character represents the revision number (0 = original, 1 = R1, …9 = R9)

EXAMPLES:
A document designated T1E1.4/2002-201R2 would be named 2E142012.xxx;
A document designated T1S1/2001-001 would be named 1S100010.xxx;
A document designated T1X1.5/2003-129R9 would be named 3X151299.xxx.

Information from the original "T1BBS" (Bulletin Board System) was imported into the new CRD. The information associated with the files was not always complete, and users may find that older data does not contain descriptive text. Filenames also contained file extensions associated with them that are not understood by current systems. If you should experience a problem with any of these files, please provide the filename and any other relevant information to contributions@atis.org.

Where are the 2004 contributions?
Due to the previously used 8-character (DOS) file naming convention (used until 2004), all 2004 contributions were registered with 2003 contribution numbers to avoid any overlap with 1994 contributions.

Uploading Contributions

How do I name my contribution, and how do I upload it to the server?
Upon successfully registering a contribution, you will receive a message similar to:

Contribution Successfully Registered!!!
Filename Prefix and Contribution#: NIPP-NAI-2008-123
The text "NIPP-NAI-2008-123" should be included in the header of the document that is uploaded for this contribution. When uploading the related file(s), make sure that you have named the file(s) "NIPP-NAI-2008-123.yyy" (for example, name a Word file "NIPP-NAI-2008-123.doc")

The contribution number must be placed in the header of the file, and the file must be named exactly as the instructions described. Additional characters (including spaces) may not be included in the filename, or the system will not recognize the information.

To upload the contribution, select the "Documents" menu, and then "Upload Documents." Users must "Browse" to find the file to be uploaded, and after browsing to the correctly named file and selecting "Open" from the dialogue box, select "Load into Queue." Users may load multiple files into the queue (and a listing of the queued files will appear at the bottom of the screen), and once all of the files have been loaded, select "Upload" to complete the process. If a file has been placed in the queue and needs to be removed, users may select the file (via the check box) and click on the "Delete Selected Items" box. Once files are in the queue, users may choose to not "Upload" them and return at a later time to complete the "Upload" process. PLEASE NOTE: Once the "Upload" button has been pressed and files are no longer in the queue, files may not be removed from the server by the user. Any problems should be addressed to contributions@atis.org.

Letter Ballots

All letter ballots are available via the Contribution Registration Database and may be accessed by Committee members. After successfully logging into the system, users should use the "Search" option and either provide the exact letter ballot information in the "Filename" text box (e.g., LBE012), or select the "Document Type" pulldown menu and select the option for "Letter Ballot" (users should also select the appropriate "Committee" and "Year" to narrow the search results). Please note that letter ballots are assigned to Committees, not Subcommittees.

The hyperlink to the letter ballot(s) is also provided in the original e-mail notice from ATIS Ballots and announces the issuance of the letter ballot, voting form, and other related information.
