Highlights Tuesday, October 25 Tuesday morning ATIS committee participants were among the overflow crowd attending the TELECOM ’05 General Sessions to hear from Walter McCormick, President and CEO of USTelecom; Jim Robbins, President and CEO of Cox Communications; David Barrett, President and CEO of Hearst-Argyle Television; Robert Clasen, President & CEO of Starz Entertainment; and Lea Ann Champion, SVP, of IP Operations and Services for SBC Communications. A panel discussion of content providers featured Lindsay Gardner, EVP Sales, Fox Cable Networks; Dan Cohen, SVP and GM of Buena Vista Television; and Washington Mystics WNBA COO Curtis Symonds, formerly of BET. Tuesday afternoon ATIS committees had working sessions before letting their hair down and celebrating in style Tuesday evening at the Hollywood-themed ATIS Committee Participant Reception. Attendees were greeted by paparazzi as they strolled down the red carpet, and Robin Meier from SBC and NIIF-NIOC co-chair found the lucky “Willy Wonka” golden ticket, winning an Apple iPOD. Joan Rivers and Frank Sinatra made the rounds and participants and staff danced to live music, with a guest appearance at the microphone by ATIS’ own Veronica Lancaster. |
