Grounding Methodologies and Connections: The Best Bang for the Buck, and Writing, and Grounding Standards and Specifications: What is Really Important for Your Company, and What is Rather Useless

Thursday, March 27, 2014
10:45 – 11:30 a.m.

This session will delve into what we as a contractor are assigned to do at cell sites, and what we actually encounter, report back, and how the carrier responds. Most often the reported findings do not get attention or corrected, which often results in further degradation of service, more expensive repairs that could’ve easily been avoided, safety incidents, and in the worst case, a service outage. This presentation will provide a view of many such sites, our findings, examples of things left unattended by the carrier, and the unfortunate results. Discussion will also be held on simple workmanship items that seem minor or small, but if attended and kept up and corrected, will ensure the best chance of your cell site or remote communication site’s service protection and continued broadcasting.
