The annual ATIS Protection Engineers Group (PEG) Conference promotes discussion on how basic electrical protection principles are applied to today’s network, and the changes that are needed to meet the challenges of providing voice, data and video services in more decentralized networks.
Conference attendees get the latest information on the leading topics in protection engineering delivered by the field’s top professionals. Expert presentations cover grounding, optical network terminations, PoE, grounding, Gfast, surge protection, new deployment technologies and electrical protection, standards updates, field experiences and more.
For the first time, the Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) will be included as part of the 2016 PEG Conference. The DLP is a presentation by a leading protection engineering expert on issues that critically challenge the ICT industry in both an in-depth and fundamental manner. Past topics have included: over-current circuit protectors; a surge protection tutorial; fundamentals of bonding and grounding for communications sites; surge protection; and lightning physics, instrumentation and applications.
All conference attendees are awarded Professional Development Hours by ATIS PEG.
In addition to the conference program, vendor demonstrations provide the latest protection engineering technologies from the most-recognized manufacturers offering services, equipment, supplies and solutions.
