The annual ATIS Protection Engineers Group (PEG) Conference promotes discussion on how basic electrical protection principles are applied to today’s network, and the changes that are needed to meet the challenges of providing voice, data and video services in more decentralized networks.
Conference attendees get the latest information on the leading topics in protection engineering delivered by the field’s top professionals. Expert presentations cover grounding, optical network terminations, ground-penetrating radar, surge protection, telecommunications systems power, standards updates, field experiences and more.
Each year, the Conference features a Distinguished Lecturer Program presented by a leading protection engineering expert on a topic that merits additional conference time allotment. This program addresses issues that challenge the ICT industry in various aspects of protection engineering in both an in-depth and fundamental manner. Past topics have included over-current circuit protectors, a surge protection tutorial, fundamentals of bonding and grounding for communications sites, and surge protection 101. Attendees to the Distinguished Lecturer Program are awarded Professional Development Hours by ATIS PEG.
In addition to the conference program, vendor demonstrations provide the latest protection engineering technologies from the most-recognized manufacturers offering services, equipment, supplies and solutions.
