    • with IIF

                                                               i.      ARCH TF Requirements documents (ATIS-0800002) states that there will be support for a mechanism to track purchases and subscriptions

1.      The Metadata TF requested elaboration on what was meant by such a mechanism in order to properly plan for what metadata would be needed.

2.      The ARCH TF:

1.      has not yet done any work in this area – it is a topic that belongs in WT-022, Linear TV Service, but purchasing linear TV service is not a phase 1 activity

2.      will do further investigation into resolving this – thinks that the TMOC IPTV TF addresses billing and may have done some useful work in this area.

ii.      A new issue statement within ATIS IIF QoSM TF (Number: 044) titled "Fault Modes" with a targeted resolution date of July 2008 - Issue Statement/Business Need:  There are many elements of the IPTV Architecture that can be subject to many failure modes. Often a network element, ITF, DNG, DRM function, probe, element management system (EMS), etc., can detect improper function of an IPTV component or signal. The type of fault is a vital input to service assurance, test, fault and performance operations and systems. Suggested Solution:  A categorized listing of fault modes for IPTV functions and components see: http://contributions.atis.org/UPLOAD/TMOC/TMOC/TMOC-2007-198.doc

iii.      MetaData TF Recommandation on XML schema documentation – see at : http://contributions.atis.org/UPLOAD/TMOC/AIP/TMOC-AIP-2007-204.zip
