MEETING AGENDA

1. Review action items from the last call see: http://contributions.atis.org/UPLOAD/TMOC/AIP/TMOC-AIP-2007-071.doc

2. Review of the current working text revision TMOC-AIP-2007-004R7 – see at: http://contributions.atis.org/UPLOAD/TMOC/AIP/TMOC-AIP-2007-004R7.doc

• New TMF’s eTOM release – Linda to report
• Linda’s comment (see WT-004R7)
• Comments received from Connie:
a. delete the eTOM introduction sentences that appear in most of the 2.7.x.x sections. The use of eTOM is explained at the beginning of section 2.7, and it gets a little repetitious.
b. At the bottom of page 32 in the SM&O Support and Readiness section (2.7.1.1) the text reads: "...only Enable Service Quality Management directly produces an IPTV inter-role transaction between the Service Provider and Network Provider roles. Discussion of this transaction type is found below" Comment: inter-role transactions take place in the S/PRM layer. It is recommended to delete this text.

c. On page 79 Problem Handling (2.7.2.6.) a text was appended on the end of this sentence: "This would be done by issuing a problem report to the Service Problem Management process, which in turn would notify the Supplier/Partner Problem Reporting and Management process to send a problem report to the appropriate Provider, if this has not already been done through an internal interface." It is recommended to remove the paragraph ("if this has not already been done through an internal interface")
d. It looks as it should say Kam contributed section 2.7.3.2, Resource Provisioning, and not Wu.
e. There is a corrected version of figure 8 for section 2.7.1.2 Service Configuration & Activation in contribution 068.
f. Regarding section 2.7.1.2:
This section is significantly more detailed than the rest of section 2.7. It is suggested we consider using only the 1st few pages and put the rest in a separate document.

4. Issues for discussion
• IPTV roles versus domains
• Intra-jurisdictional versus Inter-jurisdictional interfaces
• Regarding 2.7.1.2:
• "Service Reservation - TMOC.IPTV.OSS.SM&O - F.0100.030 A Service Provider may provide [1] a Customer the ability to submit a reservation regarding IPTV network facilities and/or contents." - What is content reservation – examples
• <WL> ... Are we certain that a "Content Provider" can not / will not own a Media Gateway? If a Content Provider has Media Gateway that needs a provisioning job to fulfill a customer request. There is a chance that the provisioning activity qualifies a "reservation" before hand. … the standard created by ATIS should be open and flexible at least from the business model point of view. </WL>
• Why a customer needs to explicitly reserve (or even be aware of) network resources. Isn't it implied by the service/content s/he request to reserve.
