ISOP Committee
New Issue Acceptance and Prioritization Process

1. Time is reserved on the first day of each OBF General or full Interim meeting to review and accept new Issues. All new Issues are reviewed and discussed by the ISOP committee. If the new Issue meets the acceptance criteria as defined by the OBF Guidelines, the Issue is accepted, assigned a number, and identified as an Open Issue. If time permits and with committee consensus, a new Issue may be worked at the current OBF meeting where it is presented.

2. Walk-in Issues can be presented at any time during an OBF General or full Interim meeting.

3. New Issues not accepted are documented in the ISOP Committee General or Interim meeting notes for the current OBF meeting.

4. The ISOP Committee prioritizes Issues at the end of each OBF meetings in conjunction with setting the tentative agenda for the next OBF session.

5. The agenda Issue prioritization is determined by consensus and based on the participating companies' business needs. Initial Closure Issues are placed on the agenda before Open Issues. Open Issues are listed on the agenda as "High", "Medium", and "Low" priority. ·

High Priority:

  • Issues that address a critical business need as determined by consensus of the ISOP committee.
  • Issues that impact the upcoming ASOG Release (e.g., clean-up/clarification)
  • Issues that address FCC Mandates

    Medium Priority:

  • Issues that do not address FCC Mandates
  • Issues that could be closed for the next ASOG Release

    Low Priority:

  • Issues that can be deferred until future ASOG Releases
  • Issues requiring the completion of several Action Items before closure.

6. All Issues are worked in the order they are listed on the agenda unless the ISOP Committee agrees, by consensus, to make a change.
