EDI Guideline Consistency Subcommittee
(EGCS) Charter
Organization
This organization was established by a former TCIF EDI Working Committee as a task group, which was called the Guideline Consistency Group. This Subcommittee is now referred to as the EDI Guideline Consistency Subcommittee (EGCS).
Purpose
The task of the group shall be that of being responsible for the content and maintenance of all EDI and ESOC-maintained code lists. Any modifications to these code lists will first be reviewed by the EGCS.
The EGCS shall be responsible for establishing the format and style of the EDI Guideline sections. Initially, this shall consist of establishing the format of the Business Models section. The EGCS shall address style issues as suggested by the ETB and ESOC.
Membership
EGCS membership shall consist of the ETB and ESOC Committee Chair and/or Vice Chair. Other individuals having an interest in the activities of the EGCS may also participate.
Officers
The ESOC Committee Vice Chair shall serve as the chair of the EGCS. A committee chair will be responsible for conducting meetings, setting the agenda, coordinating activities with ATIS, and reporting to the ETB and ESOC Committee. In the absence of the EGCS Chair, a committee chair will be responsible for the duties of the EGCS chair as well as recording and distributing meeting notes.
Consensus
All decisions shall be by consensus of EGCS members. Votes may be taken as a means of developing or measuring the degree of consensus.
Meetings
Meetings shall be held at the regularly scheduled joint face-to-face meetings of the ESOC and EDI. Interim meetings shall be called by the chair with a 30-day advance notification to membership. Conference calls may serve as meetings.
The EGCS shall designate a person to be responsible for taking the meeting notes and distributing them to the EGCS members. A copy of the meeting record will be sent to ATIS for legal review and publication on the EGCS web page.
