EDI Guideline Consistency Subcommittee (EGCS)

The EDI Guideline Consistency Subcommittee (EGCS) is an industry group consisting of telecommunications service providers and their customers working together to develop Business Models and Industry Guidelines for the electronic ordering of telecommunications goods and services via EDI.
The EGCS, is a Subcommittee that brings together the Co-Chairs of the ETB and ESOC committees to address issues that impact both committees. This group also primes and acts as coordinator for EDI related activities. One of the primary duties of the EGCS is to establish the format and style for the EDI Implementation Guidelines and to ensure that all Committee Guidelines are consistent with these rules.
The EGCS maintains the EDI Industry code lists. The EGCS also manages change request control. The EGCS is responsible for notifying ATIS of any changes for all electronic documentation maintained, to include the web site pages.
