ATIS-0100034, NRSC 9-1-1 CAMA Trunk Throughput Optimization Analysis
August 2011
 The NRSC’s review of Centralized Automatic Message Accounting (CAMA) trunks and architecture used in some 9-1-1 configurations during incidents of high call volume. This report provides the industry with recommendations to assist in mitigating these types of incidents in the future, as well as to maximize 9-1-1 call throughput to PSAPs during high call volume conditions.

2011
 Per Part 63.100 of the Federal Communication Commission's Rules and Regulations, carriers are required to report any outage which potentially affects a major airport. This is a link to reports of the 2011 National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NIPAS) identifying nearly 3,400 existing and proposed airports in the United States that are significant to national air transportation.
