Neerav Dalal has over eighteen years of industry experience in the area of software, systems engineering and standards representation in the field of wireless and data communications.

In his role as a Director, 4G and 1x/1xEV-DO Business Lead at Award Solutions, Neerav is responsible for the knowledge and engineering services of 4G Mobile Broadband and 1x/1xEV-DO practices at Award. Neerav is responsible for the classroom and web-based training (instructor-led and self paced). Neerav focuses in the areas of 3G and 4G Wireless technologies such as LTE/SAW, WiMAX, UMTS/HSPA, 1x/1xEV-DO, and Wireless Internet.

In addition, Neerav contributes to seminar presentation, executive updates, engineering consulting services for several of the top telecom companies. Neerav has presented a study paper on 3G Wireless technologies at the IEEE conference.

In his previous role as Manager of Wireless Standards and Systems Engineering at Samsung, Neerav was responsible for coordinating and representing Samsung to 3G global wireless standards development in both CDMA air and network interface committees of 3GPP and 3GPP2. He served as the vice-chair of the working group of CDMA air interface signaling. Neerav was also responsible for system engineering and architecture of Samsung’s 2 nd and 3 rd generation CDMA products and contributed to the software development of the BSS product. He contributed in creating intellectual property by filing for five patent applications and received Samsung’s distinguished Most Frequent Patent Filer Award.

As a software engineer and lead architect at Nortel Networks, Neerav participated in several software development projects from inception to integration and field deployments. Neerav has been involved in projects ranging from inter-exchange carrier switching software and 2 nd generation CDMA BSC development and received various awards including Award of Merit and Excellence.

Prior to his roles at Nortel, Neerav had worked in the software industry as project lead and software engineer for three years.

Neerav received his master s in computer science from Michigan State University and MBA in Telecommunications from the University of Dallas, and has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in University of Texas, Dallas and Michigan State University.
