As Vice President Carrier Solutions, Alan has responsibility for Carrier Solutions and Sales Engineering resources for the North America market. This is a customer focused organization tightly integrated with the Carrier Sales force in delivering Nortel’s value proposition to our Customers. Solution segments with the Carrier Solutions organization include CDMA, GSM / UMTS Core, LTE, WiMax, VoIP, and Carrier Applications.

Alan has held a variety of Sales and Marketing positions at Nortel and brings more than 14 years of wireless industry and telecoms experience to his current Carrier Solutions role. These positions have included Marketing Operations, Commercial Marketing and several Sales support roles. In addition to the marketing roles, Pritchard led Nortel's AT&T Wireless Account team in Seattle during AT&T’s initial transition to GSM. Prior to his Sales and Marketing exposure Alan completed a successful Finance career within Nortel that included roles as Director of Finance for Northern Europe and Finance Director for Nortel World Trade.

Alan holds an MBA from the University of Alberta and an undergraduate Management degree from the University of Lethbridge. He currently serves on the 3G Americas Board of Governors, is active in youth hockey, and lives in the Dallas area with his wife and 2 children.
