Al Jette is Director of Standards Strategy for Motorola’s Home and Networks Mobility business. Al has been with Motorola since 1989 and has held several positions of increased responsibility within Motorola’s cellular infrastructure business. His current position is to manage a team responsible for development of global technical standards for Motorola network infrastructure products. His group is actively engaged in wireless standard groups such as: 3GPP, WiMAX, 3GPP2 and OMA.
Prior to his involvement in cellular standards, Al managed a software development team for Motorola’s cdma infrastructure equipment and supervised a GSM system test group. He also spent 5 years in system engineering at Northrop Corporation and 3 years in software development at Westinghouse Corporation. Al holds a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and a BS in Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
