Since 2005, John Swart has been President of DoceoTech, a wireless training consultancy that provides professional-skills certification programs for LTE, WiMAX, and other cellular network technologies. DoceoTech is under contract with the WiMAX Forum to administer its global WiMAX Forum Certified Training™ program.

Prior to the founding of DoceoTech, Mr. Swart was Vice President of Faculty and Curriculum at Telecommunications Research Associates for eighteen years. 

Swart’s primary responsibilities at Bell Laboratories in the 1980s were writing packet data service specifications for switching products. He also conducted economic analysis of switching services. Swart also contributed to ANSI and ITU standards development while at Bell Labs.

John has a Masters degree in Operations Research Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan.  He and his family live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
