The Operating Procedures (OP), the primary governing document used to guide the operations of ATIS’ Forums and Committees, has been developed by ATIS with input from ATIS members. The OP outlines the processes used by ATIS Forums to progress work on ATIS Deliverables, which include American National Standards, Technical Requirements, Technical Specifications, Technical Reports, industry guidelines or white papers.
The OP is a living document. Revisions are proposed from time to time to enhance operations and promote the effective development of ATIS Deliverables. Recently, revisions were proposed to bring ATIS’ OP in line with recent changes to the ANSI Essential Requirements. An explanation of the changes being proposed to ATIS’ OP can be found here.
ATIS Forum and Committee activities must adhere to the ATIS Operating Procedures (including basic principles such as fairness, due process, respect for minority opinions, and common sense).
For more information about the OP please do not hesitate to contact Thomas Goode, ATIS General Counsel, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
