Hearing Aid Compatibility Incubator
On August 14th, 2003, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released its Report & Order for WT Docket No. 01-309, RM 8658 regarding hearing aid compatibility for digital wireless services. The
ATIS Incubator Solutions Program #4 (AISP.4), was created to investigate
performance between hearing aids (HAs) and Wireless Device (WDs)
to determine methods of enhancing interoperability and usability
for consumers with hearing aids in order for those in the hearing aid and cellular wireless industries to meet the requirements of the the FCC's R&O.

Status Report Submissions to the FCC:
The AISP.4-HAC will provide a venue for the industry to submit a collective status report to the FCC per the R&O reporting requirements. Participation in the collective report is voluntary.
