Seal

1. A checksum, which may be cryptographic, computed over some data to provide integrity for that data [ECMA138]. 2. A cryptographic checkvalue that supports integrity but does not protect against forgery by the recipient (i.e., it does not support non-repudiation).When a seal is associated with a data element, that data element is 'sealed' [10181-1].
