Machine to Machine, SmartGrid, and Networked Vehicle Landscape Team (MMSGNV-LT)

The main objective of this Team is to examine the interrelationships among the three topical areas and recommend the best path forward for each one separately. The Team’s initial focus is on developing an industry perspective outlining the Information and Communication Technology’s (ICT’s) role in and value-add to enabling the national SmartGrid, due to the need to move quickly on this particular issue.

Network Optimization Focus Group (NetOp-FG)

The NetOp-FG has been tasked to address the issues that were identified by that Network Optimization Landscape Team’s assessment--specifically this will include:
(1) an assessment of the standards needs identified by the Landscape Team and develop detailed recommendations on how address standards issues—by ATIS or other SDOs;
(2) anexamination of any regulatory impacts and develop recommendations on how to best address regulatory needs; and
(3) an outline of the business impacts that are made by developing the recommended standards and/or understand what the business implications are if said standards issues/regulatory concerns are not addressed.
