Announcing a LIVE ATIS Webinar:

The Transformation to All-IP: What Does it Really Mean for Carriers and the End User?

What: ATIS will present: “The Transformation to All-IP: What Does it Really Mean for Carriers and the End User?” Webinar. During this Webinar, experts will discuss the IP transformation strategies applicable to wireless, wireline and converged carriers.

When: Thursday, May 20, 2010
11:00 AM to 12:00 PM EDT

Cost: Free

Webinar content: The “IP transformation” refers to the transition from existing circuit switched technologies to an all-IP network. This IP transformation enables a common service layer which takes full advantage of networks’ capabilities, and makes these abilities available across divergent wireless and wireline networks. The transformation also enables networks to support innovative new applications and business models.

In making the transition to an all-IP, there are many technical and business challenges which must be considered. Those challenges are often complex, and vary based on the market a carrier is targeting, the need for consistently high QOS, and various other competitive pressures.

This Webinar, will focus on the IP transformation strategies applicable to wireless, wireline and converged carriers, as well as key technical and business considerations in the RAN, Core and Transport areas. Participants will gain valuable insights to what an all-IP network means in terms of delivering services which take full advantage of real-time service provisioning, quality of service controls, and other capabilities inherent to all-IP networks.

Featured presenters: Moderator, Sean Buckley, Senior Editor of FierceMarkets’s Wireline group, and Speakers; Chris Ebert, Director, 4G Strategic Marketing, North America, Nokia Siemens Networks and Jocelyn Syme King, Director, Technology Strategy, TELUS.
