ATIS IPTV Interoperability Forum Experts to Speak at GLOBECOM 2007

November 26, 2007, Washington, DC- ATIS announced today that members of its IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF) will speak at the IEEE Global Communications (GLOBECOM 2007) Conference in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, November 27. The ATIS IIF, recognized as the global leader in IPTV standards development, brings the industry’s leading carriers, manufacturers and software providers together to address technical issues and create the industry’s end-to-end standards solution for IPTV.

ATIS IIF panelists featured at the GLOBECOM IPTV Network Requirements and Interoperability Session will explore architecture, Digital Rights Management (DRM) and Quality of Service (QoS) requirements for IPTV. Attendees of the session will learn about the technical and network considerations for IPTV services and deployment in the consumer, network provider, content provider and service provider domains.

Key leadership from the ATIS IIF will share their knowledge and will answer questions related to IPTV following their presentations. The session will be moderated by Dan O’Callaghan, IIF Chairman and Principal Member of Technical Staff, Verizon. Featured panelists include the following IIF members: Randy Sharpe, co-chair of the IIF Architecture Task Force and Senior Principal Engineer, Alcatel-Lucent; Kenneth Toney, co-chair of the IIF QoSM Task Force and International IPTV Standards, Tektronix LLC; Jeff Carr, IIF DRM Task Force co-chair andSenior Technical Staff Network & Systems Architecture Division, Sony Electronics, Inc.; and Kinney Bacon, IIF Metadata Task Force co-chair and Principal Engineer System Architecture, Subscriber Products, Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco Company.
