ATIS IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF) Headlines Technical Presentations at ATIS Booth #1655 at NXTcomm 2007
ATIS Forum is Building Needed Standards to Support Entire IPTV Ecosytem
June 13, 2007, Washington, DC – ATIS announced today that it will offer a series of technical presentations on the work of its IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF), recognized globally as the lead developer of industry standards and specifications for IPTV services. The presentations will take place in booth #1655 at NXTcomm 2007 from June 19-20 at McCormick Place Convention Center, South Building, in Chicago.
“The ATIS IIF is pleased that its work is being featured as a part of NXTcomm 2007. The presentations will share with the industry the IIF’s successful activities designed to produce an end-to-end solution for IPTV,” said IIF Chairman, Daniel O’Callaghan of Verizon.
Active participants in the ATIS IIF include Alcatel-Lucent, Widevine Technologies, LG Electronics, Telchemy, Digital Fountain, Huawei, Rogers Wireless, Sun Microsystems, Verizon, AT&T, British Telecom, Nortel, Cisco and Microsoft, among numerous others.
“We have been very successful in attracting companies to participate in the ATIS IIF that represent every angle of the entire IPTV ecosystem – from the network operator, to the network equipment and set-top box manufacturers, to the middleware solutions provider, and the content providers,” said ATIS President and CEO Susan M. Miller. “Together, we are making enormous strides and delivering standards that will support successful deployment of IPTV and the unique and interactive entertainment experience that IPTV promises to deliver.”
