ATIS Elects New Board Members for 2007-2008 Terms

November 15, 2006, Washington –ATIS announced today the results of its member election of six representatives to the ATIS Board of Directors.

The Directors-elect will serve two-year terms on the Board starting January 1, 2007.

Bill DeMuth, vice president and chief technology officer of SureWest Communications, and Trenton Boaldin, president of Epic Touch, were re-elected to serve another two-year term.

Newly-elected Directors are:

• Rod Christenson, president of Mid America Computer Corporation;
• Glenn Morten, vice president of Engineering and chief technology officer of Widevine Technologies;
• Gary Savin, vice president and general manager of the EMC Division for Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.; and
• Arun Sobti, chairman and chief executive officer, IP Unity.

The ATIS Board of Directors provides the technology vision for the communications industry and defines the path for critical standards development work to support that vision. Recent activities include the identification of industry technical priorities and the launch of directives supporting NGN, IPTV, convergence and other important standards initiatives.
