ATIS Network Security Symposium and Workshop to Define Industry Approach for Key Security Issues
Standards Development Organizations and Industry Leaders to Identify Best Solutions for Vital Security Concerns
August 4, 2004, Washington, D.C. – The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) – the leader in communications standards development – will present a network security symposium and workshop September 21-22 at the Intelsat headquarters in Washington D.C.
The event will be the first public review of the ATIS Network Security Work Plan within the industry and is designed as an opportunity to coordinate work within the industry’s standardization community.
Network Security is one of the first five priority issues being addressed by the ATIS Technology and Operations (TOPS) Council. Presentation discussions at the event will include: preventing denial of service attacks; identifying a single interoperable application layer protocol access control mechanism; and authentication and encryption.
