ATIS Announces Board of Directors Election Results

Ross Ireland, Senior Executive Vice President, Services and CTO for SBC, Reelected to Second Term as Chairman

October 31, 2003, Washington, D.C. – ATIS is pleased to announce the results of its board of directors elections held during its recent annual meeting in Washington, D.C. Ross Ireland, Senior Executive Vice President, Services and CTO for SBC, was reelected to his second term as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Asok Chatterjee, Vice President – Public Affairs for Ericsson, was reelected to serve his second term as First Vice Chairman.

P.J. Aduskevicz, Network Vice President – Infrastructure & Media Capacity for AT&T Corporation was elected to serve as Second Vice Chairman. Aduskevicz is replacing Susan Schramm, Senior Vice President – Carrier Division for Siemens Information and Communications Networks.

Reelected to the board as ATIS Class C member representatives were Bruce Johnson, Senior Vice President – Operations & Engineering, VeriSign, who also serves as the ATIS Board Treasurer; Al Weigand, Vice President – Operations, North Pittsburgh Systems; Michael Nash, Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, CT Communications, Inc.; and Bill Ruhl, President and Chief Executive Officer, D&E Communications, Inc. They join David Maccarelli, Senior Vice President – Chief Technology Officer, nTelos.

Newly elected to the board as an ATIS Class D member representative was Fred Fromm, President and Chief Executive Officer, Gluon Networks. Bill Rodey, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Engineering, HyperEdge Corporation; Jackie Mitchell, Chief Administrative Officer, Billing Concepts; and Allen Arvig, President & Chief Executive Officer, East Otter Tail Telephone Company were reelected to serve second terms. They join Trent Boaldin, President, Epic Touch Company.

Terms for the newly elected officers and representatives begin on January 1, 2004.
