This web conference will analyze the critical technical issues surrounding the
migration of Text Telephone (TTY) applications over Voice over Internet Protocol
(VoIP) networks. Industry experts will address questions concerning the compatibility
of the two technologies; the legal requirements for TTY use for Local Exchange
Carriers (LECs), Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) and Internet Service
Providers (ISPs); the challenges Standards Development Organizations (SDOs)
are addressing; the possible scenarios where VoIP may affect a TTY call; and
the critical next steps for the communications industry.
