Network operators and service providers can minimize the volume of network outages that result directly from timing outages and synchronization failure, simply by following industry-supported procedures. The end result of a careful analysis of outage data by ATIS' Network Reliability Steering Committee (NRSC) is a list of best practices for use by service providers in curbing the number of outages caused by timing and synchronization failure.

This INFO-SYNC session will identify the root causes of timing outages and identify best practices that - if implemented by service providers, network operators and equipment manufacturers - will prevent future outages.
