CALEA Cost Recovery Issues To Be Discussed at ATIS' INFO-SYNC Web Conference on June 19
June 14, 2001, Washington, D.C. -The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) will present Michael Warren, president of TeLEA Consulting, who will speak on "CALEA Cost Recovery" during an ATIS "real time" web conference scheduled June 19 from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
| About the Program: | CALEA's Section 109 provides that carriers may recover their direct costs to comply with CALEA's capability and capacity requirements. On March 20, 1997 the FBI published in the Federal Register the CALEA Cost Recovery Regulations. If you're like most of us you're still trying to understand these complicated rules and get a handle on what CALEA related costs you are entitled to recover from the government. What does Installed or Deployed mean? What's a "reasonable" cost? Who defines what's reasonable? What's the reimbursement process? Do I wait for the FBI to send me a request for proposal? What if they don't? What's a "Firm Fixed Price" Agreement? What if its not "reasonably achievable" for me to comply with CALEA's capability and/or capacity requirements? Confused as to your next steps? Find out what to do during the ATIS INFO-SYNC program: CALEA Cost Recovery. |
