TMOC-AIP Subcommittee: Architectures Interfaces and Protocols

Mission: The TMOC Architecture, Interfaces, and Protocol (AIP) Subcommittee develops AIP standards and other specifications related to Operations, Administration, Maintenance, and Provisioning (OAM&P) of communications networks, including Operations Support System (OSS) and Network Element (NE) functions and interfaces, supporting interoperability for both internal and external business needs of the Provider.

Scope: The scope of the work in TMOC-AIP includes the areas of:

  • Accounting Management
  • Configuration Management
  • Performance Management
  • Fault Management and Trouble Administration
  • Security Management

This work specifically emphasizes OAM&P support for Next Generation Network (NGN) carrier interconnection arrangements and NGN networks and services management.

The TMOC-AIP Subcommittee includes the former IPTV OSS Task Force. The Accounting Management Task Force is currently active in AIP. The Accounting Management Task Force develops standards and other specifications concerning Next Generation Network (NGN) resource usage data recording, collection, and charging, and supports other ATIS Committees dealing with billing settlements between supplier partners. All information regarding Task Force activities will be posted to the TMOC meeting web page and distributed via the TMOC-AIP e-mail exploder.
